ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Tallapoosa County Commission
Project No. CDBG # CY-ED-PF-24-010 and ARC # AL-23194
Separate sealed bids for AL Highway 49 Improvements Project – Ace Hardware Store Access will be received by the Tallapoosa County Commission at the commission office: 125 North Broadnax St, Room 131, Dadeville, AL 36853, Until 11:00 o’clock A.M., C.S.T., Thursday, August 6, 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
Scope of Work: Construction of full length left turn and right turn lanes, including lane widening, base, asphalt, full width wearing surface overlay, stripping, various storm drainage improvements, traffic control, and erosion control.
The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Form of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following location: The Tallapoosa County Commission’s office, 125 North Broadnax Street, Room 131, Dadeville, AL 36853.
Copies may be obtained at the office of Larry E. Speaks & Associates, Inc. located at 535 Herron Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104 upon payment of $ 150 for each set. Any unsuccessful bidder, upon returning such set promptly and in good condition, will be refunded their payment, and any non-bidder upon returning such a set will be refunded $ 75.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit, with its bid, security in the amount of, form of and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246.
No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
A Pre-bid Meeting will be held at 1:00 pm C.S.T., Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the same address as above. Bidder’s attendance is not required but encouraged.
