HOUSING AUTHORITY INVITES COMMENTS ON DRAFT PLANS

The Alexander City Housing Authority’s (ACHA) draft annual and five-year plan has been reviewed and discussed at the March Resident Advisory Board Meeting. The Board of Commissioners of the ACHA has also reviewed the draft plan and given their consent. The item in the plan, which impacts public housing residents the most, is the Capital Improvement Plan.

The ACHA invites all ACHA residents and other interested parties to submit comments and suggestions on the draft plan for consideration prior to the adoption of the final plan. The period allocated to provide public comments begins March 30, 2026, and ends May 21, 2026.

In addition, a public hearing on the plan will be held at The Alexander City Housing Authority at 9:00 am on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 2110 County Road, Alexander City, Alabama. Written or oral comments will be accepted at that time, prior to adoption of the final plans.
