ORDINANCE

To Amend Chapter 90, Article II, Division 6 – Solid Waste Service,
§90-121 – Collection of Charges

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Alexander City, Alabama, as follows:
THAT Chapter 90, Article II, Division 6 – Solid Waste Service, §90-121 – Collection of
a) Each customer shall pay a one-time fee equal to the monthly charge when service is established
b) All bills for service hereunder shall be due and payable monthly and said charges shall be designated on the utility bill mailed out from the Finance Department.
c) The following charges shall be collected by the city for the collecting, hauling, and disposing of garbage for each cycle after April 1, 2026.
I. One family dwelling .... Billed at the Price Provided by the Winning Contractor for Standard Residential Service (per 95-gallon container)
II. Commercial establishments .... Billed at the Price Provided by the Winning Contractor for Standard Residential Service Plus One Dollar ($1.00) (per 95-gallon container)
III. Additional carts will be billed based on the price the contractor charges to the city.
THIS ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and execution as provided by law.
